Tips on how to play with our ABC game
Here are a few different ways to play with our ABC game, and we hope you'll continue to come up with more ideas on how to play with the cards.
Uppercase letters vs lowercase
To give children a chance to practise matching uppercase letters to lowercase letters, we have separated them. You can also use the letters as a Memory game.
Find words in the illustrations
Pick a letter from the pile, and try to find something in the pictures starting with that letter. Don't forget that colours, body parts and shapes also start with different letters!
Practice spelling
You can create words with the letter cards, use your imagination or spell something from the pictures.
Guessing game
You can do a guessing game starting to spell a word you see in one of the pictures, and let the others guess what word you're thinking about.
Crossword
Can you create a crossword togehter? How many words can you create, that are connected? We suggest that you start spelling a word you can see in one of the pictures, and then start adding words with the letter cards.
Create a story
Create a story based on one of the pictures and use your imagination! To make it more fun, pick a letter card and let parts of the story line start with the chosen letter.
For example, "Once upon a time a robot found some instruments, the robot's name was.." ==> pull a letter card ==> Choose a name starting with the chosen letter. And so on.

- 2 cards with game rules in Swedish, English, German and French
- 2 empty cards where you can add your own letters and illustrations
